Patient Rights and Feedback
At HerGP, we are committed to providing you with safe, respectful, and high-quality healthcare. We believe every patient has the right to be heard, understood, and involved in their care.
Your Rights as a Patient
As a patient at HerGP, you have the right to:
-
Be treated with dignity, respect, and without discrimination.
-
Receive care that is safe, appropriate, and tailored to your needs.
-
Ask questions and receive clear explanations about your diagnosis, treatment options, and the risks involved.
-
Decline treatment or seek a second opinion.
-
Have your privacy and confidentiality respected.
-
Request access to your medical records.
-
Receive care in a culturally sensitive and inclusive environment.
If you need an interpreter, please let us know — we will do our best to arrange language support, especially for our Chinese-speaking community.
Giving Feedback
We welcome feedback – whether it's a compliment, suggestion, or complaint – as it helps us improve your experience and our services.
You can:
-
Speak directly to your doctor or one of our reception staff.
-
Use our patient feedback box at reception.
-
Submit feedback via email at admin@hergp.au
If you feel your concerns have not been resolved within the clinic or you would like to escalate the matter, you may contact the Health Care Complaints Commission (HCCC).
The HCCC is an independent NSW government body that investigates complaints about health service providers. It ensures that the public receives safe and ethical healthcare.
